Okay.

Noatok and Amon really are brothers, but they are co-conspirators. Amon stages Tarrlok's capture in the presence of Korra, and then locks him up on Airbender Island for her to find. Upon being found, he tells her and Mako his and Noatok's story - but it's a fabrication that Amon devised with him; Amon/Noatok is not really a bender.

They tell Korra this story with the intention of luring her to the rally to "expose" Amon. Korra makes her entrance, and tells the crowd the blown "secret." Amon exposes his face, which has an actual scar on it (he deliberately burnt his own face in order to keep up appearances). Korra attacks Amon in a rage after he denies Korra's accusations in order to save Tenzin and co.

In the middle of the fight, Korra is desperately trying to get Amon to bend to show the crowd what he really is. But this never happens, because Amon is not a bender. Amon brings down Korra/Mako onstage, and presents Korra to the crowd. He then makes a dramatic speech: "This is your avatar, republic city: a liar," etc. etc. before taking her bending in full view of the crowd and shattering her hopes. Before doing the deed he whispers in her ear "I told you I had a plan for you," or something like that.

Korra now has her bending taken away and the equalists see her as even more of an antagonist, willing to lie about their leader to get what she wants. In a fit of rage Mako attacks Amon, and Korra and Mako manage to escape in a sequence of events similar to that in the actual show, with Korra getting her airbending and Mako shooting lightning at his chest.

They get away with Tenzin and co., but Amon is now in charge of the city with Tarrlok at his right hand. The avatar has all of her bending except airbending gone, and her reputation is ruined. Season ends with her sobbing and Mako attempting to comfort her.

Season 2 centers around dethroning Amon and Tarrlok using Korra's airbending.

But something stipid happened to him in episode 12, after he was airbended out the window by korra. He does the most extravagant waterbending move ever, revelealing his bending to a whole bunch of his supporters.

up to that point, he'd never do anything to blow his cover, never using bending in fights, and even wearing false scars under his mask.

Ditch the entire future gimmick and have the new series revolve around Azula leading a rebellion against Zuko to get her rightful throne back. Things aren't looking good for Team Avatar folks. Due to some rough play by Amon the team is down to four players. Korra called time but her time's running out if she can't find a fifth.

Who's that walking on court? It's FORMER COUNCILMAN TARRLOK in shorts and jersey and he's ready to play for team Avatar!

Korra starts with the ball, she passes to Naga, Naga is on her hind legs and bashes the ball in the air! Amon and Tarrlok jump for it and ... Tarrlok has it! He dashes across court to get closer to the net but two equalists are in his way!

Tarrlok has... removed his jersey showing a flawless, well-greased muscular chest! Ladies and gentlemen I do believe I have an erection. Apparently the equalists guarding him do too because he slips by for an easy two points!

The ending should have simply been a cliffhanger into the second season. Amon isn't Tarlok's brother. Genuinely had connection to spirit world, but was using a technique different from the avatar's to take bending away, not as permanent as it is believed to be, just locked, like aang's chakra's. amon had his face stolen by koh in order to gain the power. the season ends with korra only knowing one power, bei fong not able to come to terms with her loss of metalbending, and republic city under complete control by the equalists. korra and company must travel the world the second season and gain reinforcements to go back and save republic city. i'll take check please.

Haven't had this much fun since the Sportsmaster thread.

She calls in Lee. now for those of you who don't know folks, Lee is an up and comer in the pro bending circuit, but can he make his climb in the basketball court. Mako passes to Korra, Korra to Lee. LEE GOES UP FOR THE BASKET AND... oooooh. Amon comes out of nowhere and takes Lees bending away. Tough break there you hae to see this career ending move happen.

Not that guy but I picked it up at about the 3rd episode and didn't see her even attempt to learn airbending. They must have limited her training to the first two episodes. To be fair, I think she mentioned her inability to do it a few times but I don't recall her even saying she was still training, it sounded to me like she had given up completely.
You can't just throw that shit on the back-burner for 9 or 10 episodes and then suddenly bust it out at the end.

This is the biggest problem. It makes Mako and Korra look bad, it feels forced and it wastes so much time. Pacing in general is fixed because of this.

The romance subplot should be left to Asami and Mako alone. Korra doesn't need a love story to tie her down as there's plenty of other ways she can have character development. Speaking of Asami...

Let Korra and Asami build up a bond of friendship. The friendship can be tested when Asami starts to see the moody guy who has a problem with her. This also allows Bolin and Korra to build up their friendship, seeing as Bolin will also be feeling lonely with his brother spending more time with the rich girl.

Bolin literally does nothing for the plot after Episode 5. Give him a reason to be there. This 'boy who cries wolf' thing fits Bolin more as he's the guy that people never take seriously and can allow for some actual development with the brothers when Mako gets mad at Bolin over this. After this, have Bolin want to train with Lin because he's tired of not being as helpful in these fights as Korra, Mako or even Asami are. This way Bolin is still important to the plot.

17 seconds left, Korra's weaving and spinning with a broken arm trying to find her way past the Lieutenant. She throws the ball through his legs to Jordan, running past with Jordan returning the ball.

6 seconds left and from 3/4s court Korra makes a tremendous leap! I've never seen anyone get this much air before! KORRA IS AIRBENDING HERSELF FOR THE MOTHER OF ALL DUNKS!

Amon's ready for her! He's going to jump off Sato's mechtank He's going to try to steal the ball in 20 feet off the ground!

Make Amon a real energy bender. Like a REAL real energy bender. Having control over the energy within lets you do more than just take somebody's kung fu magic. It gives you super human strength, speed, endurance, and supernatural perception.

I wanted to see him switch into full beast mode and punch boulders. Also a less retarded end game, something like severing the bending spirits from the world(but not killing them like what happened to the moon.)
